Home Remedies for Stretch Marks

There are a number of home remedies handed down from mothers and grand mothers to help treat stretch marks that apparently look bad on the skin. Here are some tried and tested remedies that have helped fade away stretch marks.

 

Take 5 tbsp facial scrub, 1/2 tsp vitamin E, 1 tsp cocoa butter, and 1 tsp aloe vera. Mix them together into a nice paste and massage over your stretch marks for a few minutes. Do not put a lot pressure but just focus on the skin.

 

Mix together 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil, 1/2 cup aloe vera gel, 10 vitamin E capsules, drained and five vitamin A capsules drained. Refrigerate and use twice or more a day. Rub into skin until fully absorbed.

 

Application of vitamin K cream is beneficial in the treatment of stretch marks. Foods containing vitamin K may be included in the diet and these are green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, liver and dairy products. Applying lavender oil on the marks thrice a day will fade up the marks soon.

 

Application of aloe vera gel or vitamin E is very effective to cure stretch marks. Application of Vaseline intensive care lotion on the stomach during pregnancy helps in the prevention of stretch marks. Application of cocoa butter during pregnancy helps in the prevention of stretch marks.

 

Eating good amounts of seeds and nuts that contain zinc prevent stretch marks. Regular exercises tones the muscles and keep them firm. Massaging the body with aroma oil also reduces the chances of stretch marks.
